Increasing awareness and knowledge of adolescents regarding Clean and Healthy Living Behavior (CHLB) has become a global challenge, particularly with the rapid use of social media among young generations. This study aims to evaluate the effectiveness of social media as an educational tool in improving adolescent health knowledge. The research employed a quasi-experimental design with pretest and posttest involving 60 participants aged 18–20 years as the sample. Data were collected using a standardized questionnaire measuring knowledge about CHLB before and after the intervention in the form of education through social media. Data analysis included normality testing with the Kolmogorov-Smirnov test and dependent t-test to determine the significance of knowledge improvement. The results showed a significant increase in mean knowledge scores between pretest and posttest (p < 0.05), supporting the effectiveness of social media as a health education platform. These findings contribute to the development of health education theories based on digital technology. The practical implications include recommendations for policymakers and health educators to integrate social media into health education programs while considering ethical aspects, such as digital literacy and the mitigation of misinformation risks. This study also highlights the importance of further research designs involving control groups and longitudinal analysis to evaluate the long-term impact of social media on behavioral changes and the application of CHLB.
