Preterm delivery is one of the leading causes of maternal and neonatal morbidity and mortality, which can often be prevented through promotive and preventive interventions. One effective preventive effort is pregnancy exercise, as it helps maintain maternal fitness, optimizes pregnancy health, and prepares for safe childbirth. This community service activity aimed to improve the knowledge and skills of Posyandu cadres in implementing pregnancy exercise as an effort to prevent preterm delivery in Mbaruai Village. The methods included health education, pregnancy exercise demonstrations, and guided practice sessions. Evaluation was carried out through pre-test and post-test assessments of knowledge, as well as observation of participants’ skills. The results showed an increase in the average knowledge score of cadres from 65.3 to 87.1, and 90% of participants were able to correctly perform pregnancy exercise movements according to standards. Posyandu cadres also expressed readiness to implement pregnancy exercise regularly in Posyandu activities for pregnant women. This training is expected to serve as an initial step in reducing the risk of preterm delivery through the empowerment of cadres as community health agents.
